Gut health without the pseudoscience
Bloating, flat energy, inflammation, explained in plain terms, with real food you'd actually put on a plate.

Gut health · Strength · Coaching
Personal training and gut health coaching, built from where you actually are.
45 minutes, free. No pressure and no pitch.

You'll leave stronger than you came, in body and in belief.
Our promise
This is for people who want to feel genuinely well, in gut, body and mind, and would rather build something sustainable than chase another fourteen-day miracle.
Bloating, flat energy, inflammation, explained in plain terms, with real food you'd actually put on a plate.
Strength built patiently and visibly, at any age, any size, from wherever today actually finds you.
You'll be coached like an adult who's busy and human. Real timelines, real bodies, no shame in the room.
The approach
Three steps, no mystery. You'll know exactly what happens before you commit a penny.
01
A free 45-minute conversation, your history, your gut, your goals, and an honest look at what's got in the way before now.
02
One plan across food, movement and rest, written for the week you actually have, not an ideal one you don't.
03
We train, review and adjust together. First you feel it, with steadier energy and easier mornings. Then you see it.

How I train
The clubs and mace are some of the oldest training tools there are. I use them for shoulder mobility.
Swinging them takes your shoulders through circles and arcs that presses and pulls rarely reach. The weight sits away from your hand, so your grip, forearms and the small muscles around the shoulder all have to work together to control it.
Many people find a few minutes of swinging leaves their shoulders feeling looser and more under control, especially after desk work or heavy lifting. Start light, learn the pattern and let the weight do the teaching.
If you have a shoulder injury, check with your GP or physio first.
Coaching
Every route starts with the same free consult, so we only begin once we both think it's the right fit.

Monthly plans are rolling. Give me 30 days' notice and we part as friends.
Spent a couple of months working with Matt and couldn't be happier. I was aiming to build muscle but actually got much more than that. I've always been interested in holistic health, especially nutritionally, and that's where Matt's advice really made a difference. Would highly recommend GSS.
Matt is very knowledgeable and makes you feel curious about having a healthier lifestyle. It's not about exercise only, he teaches you small things you can change in your daily life to improve your wellbeing. Training with him is also very fun, he checks your movements and pays attention to your needs.
About
It took twenty years to get a diagnosis. Long stretches of strong painkillers and anti-inflammatories along the way, and my gut paid for it. That's a big part of why gut health is where I start.
I didn't come to coaching through fitness. I trained in fashion design and textiles, worked as a landscaper, and studied horticulture with the RHS. Gut health turned out to be the same instinct, pointed at people.
Level 3 Personal Trainer, CIMSPA registered, first aid trained and insured through FitPro. Based in Nine Elms, working in person across Vauxhall and south-west London, and online.

Still deciding? These are the questions people actually ask on the consult call.
No. We start from where you are today, that's the whole point. Plenty of people begin with walking, breathing and getting a proper breakfast in.
No. There's no banned list and nothing to buy from me. We add real food, settle what's irritating your gut, and keep what you'll still be eating in a year.
Everyone's different, so I won't promise a timeline. Many people notice small things first, like steadier energy or easier mornings. Visible strength changes take longer, and I'd rather tell you that now than sell you a fortnight.
Often, yes, alongside your GP or specialist, never instead of them. Bring it to the consult and I'll be straight with you about whether I'm the right person to help.
One free conversation, no obligation. Worst case, you leave with a clearer idea of what to do next, even if it isn't with me.
